Proper storage keeps cannabis fresh, preserves potency, and prevents mold. Here's how to store flower, edibles, and other products the right way.
Flower: Cool, Dark, Dry
Store flower in an airtight glass jar (or similar) in a cool, dark place. Light and heat can degrade THC and terpenes. Excess humidity can encourage mold; too little can make flower brittle. A cupboard or drawer works well. Avoid the fridge or freezer for long-term flower storage—moisture and temperature swings can hurt quality. Our general education has more on storage.
Edibles and Concentrates
Keep edibles in their original packaging when possible, in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight. Concentrates (wax, shatter, etc.) should stay in a cool, dark place; some people refrigerate them, but follow the product's label. Always keep cannabis out of reach of children and pets.
