Live resin extracts oil from cannabis that was flash-frozen at harvest (instead of dried and cured). The frozen process preserves the volatile terpenes that would otherwise be lost during curing. Live resin is one of the most popular cart formats on the Happy Time shelf. Top brands rotate but Optimum Extracts, Ric Flair Drip, and Phat Panda all hold steady inventory. Pricing typically $35-55 per gram-equivalent.

Live rosin uses fresh-frozen cannabis like live resin, but the extraction is solventless — heat and pressure only, no butane or CO2. The result preserves more strain-specific terpene character and avoids any solvent residue. The trade-off: yield is much lower, so rosin carts price at the top tier.

Cured resin uses dried-and-cured cannabis (the standard process) for extraction. Less terpene preservation than live resin or live rosin, but still significantly more flavorful than distillate. Mid-tier price.

On the Happy Time shelf, cured resin is the everyday workhorse format — stronger flavor than distillate, friendlier price than live resin or rosin. Typical $20-35 per gram-equivalent.

Distillate is the most refined cannabis oil — typically 80-95% THC, with terpenes stripped during processing. Some distillate carts are re-flavored with cannabis-derived terpenes (CDT) or botanical terpenes after distillation. Distillate carts hit hard but taste cleaner and more synthetic than live resin or rosin.

Distillate carts are typically the most affordable format on the Happy Time shelf — $15-30 per gram. Best for customers who prioritize THC% per dollar over strain flavor.

Most cannabis vape cartridges in Washington use the 510-thread standard — the cart screws onto any 510-thread battery. Happy Time stocks 510 batteries at all three stores, plus the carts themselves. If you have an existing 510 battery from a previous purchase, any cart we carry will work.
